Elevo Institute Board
Elevo Institute is a nonprofit organisation, funded by a bequest, working for the best interests of all students and for the good of society.
Elevo Institute is directed by a Board and assisted by Advisory Committees. Elevo’s goal is to work in partnership with thought leaders, universities, schools, corporates, governments, and developmental partners.
- Elevo Institutes’ purpose is to ensure no student is failed by the education system and that every student is set up for success in a fast-changing world
- Elevo Institutes’ vision is a student-centred education system that engages students, turning them into life-long learners with an explorer mindset, ready to thrive in a fast-changing world.
- Elevo Institutes’ mission is ‘to establish the evidence needed to provoke informed discussion about the need for transformational change in school education in Years Seven to Nine in our secondary schools.
- Key Insight: Education shapes societies, when it fails the cost is borne by us all.
- Values: Equity first, truth through evidence, clarity in complexity, future focused, collaboration that counts
To do the above, Elevo Institute will use research to examine current practice in schools as the basis for a dialogue with the community about the future of schooling.

Brian Cohen
After an extensive career in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods and Consumer Goods in Australia, South Africa, UK, and Europe Brian brings his marketing and sales experience to Elevo Institute. Brian is the founder of Banks Botanicals, a non-alcoholic distillery located in the Yarra Valley.

Rhianna Perkin
Consultant Psychologist – BA, BAppSc, PostGradDipPsych, MPsych, MLM(Organisation Dynamics), MAPS, FCCOUNP. Experience Senior consultant psychologist with over 20 years’ experience, including operational and clinical leadership in health and not-for-profit and corporate sectors. Spending much of her career working with children, young people and families and is passionate about creating environments and communities in which children can thrive.

Andrew Loader
Executive Leader and Business Strategist with experience in leading and transforming corporate services and commercial practice. Andrew has a proven capability in the design and delivery of large, complex projects across organisations in a variety of sectors including health, disability, government, community, NFP and emergency services

Dr Geoff Masters
Geoff Masters AO is an international adviser on curriculum and assessment redesign. He was previously long-term head of the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). He has conducted a number of reviews for governments, including a review of the NSW school curriculum. He led an international study of five high-performing jurisdictions for the US National Center on Education and the Economy (published as Building a World-Class Learning System) and is author of the National School Improvement Tool and Principal Performance Improvement Tool.
